Unpopular opinion but I actually don’t mind lockdowns so much. Apart from not being able to get out for taking photos. This lockdown occurring in a cold bleak week makes it even less of an issue.
I know that there are many people who hurt during these lockdowns and I do not mean to make light of their situation. I understand that the situation is not ideal and that keeping the economy rolling is preferable to another lockdown – but public health is a bigger issue.
Also, I think a lot of creative folk are basically introverts. Therefore, being forced to avoid social interactions helps to recharge to come out firing when it’s over.
So, I guess what I am saying is, use the time wisely and get ready for a flurry of activity when we are out. I personally will be spending time up-skilling, working on new editing techniques, redesign and relaunch of this website, improving my booking process, organising the business side of photography better than I have in the past. Hopefully when we are allowed out again this will see me much better placed to deal with the demands of the non photographing parts of running a photographic business.
If you want to shoot with me, send me a message and we can work something out while I have time on my hands
